Training is conducted at Banner
Marsh State Fish & Wildlife Area, which has 4,363
acres of various land and water areas. The vast
acres of land offer several types of cover and
terrain allowing for diversity in land training
scenarios in a natural setting. Access to various
areas comprising from light to heavy cover and flat
to rolling terrain contributes to sharpening marking
abilities and exposes our retrievers to different
conditions that are normally encountered in actual
hunting situations. The numerous bodies of water
offer limitless training set ups with varying depths
of water with natural growth. Several areas contain
islands, points, and levees that are essential in
technical water training drills. With the
capability of utilizing several thousand acres of
land and water creates unlimited training
opportunities for our retrievers on a daily basis. |
